Objectives

Boost the socio-economic development of the PALOP countries and East Timor based on the common characteristics shared by the six countries, simultaneously strengthening regional integration and combating poverty through the modernisation of public and private structures and systems providing the institutional framework in the areas of Employment and Technical and Vocational Education Training, to increase the competitiveness and productivity of the different sectors of activity.

Results

• Strengthening the institutional skills of the national organisations responsible for Employment and Technical and Vocational Training by training staff, establishing standards for Technical and Vocational Education Training systems and defining qualifications and certification systems;
• Carrying out pilot actions to promote productive employment in selected sectors (Agriculture, Creative Economy, Tourism and Fisheries);
• Implementation of a framework for sustainable cooperation in the field of productive employment and vocational training among the PALOP-TL partners.

The Ministries of Employment and Vocational Training services (central and local), Training institutions and their teachers, public and private structures and NGOs of the PALOP-TL countries involved in the fields of employment and vocational training
