To improve the health of the populations of the PALOP countries and East Timor by enhancing the quality of health services and the Human Resources working in the health sector in these countries
- Strengthening national capacities to develop and implement policies for human resources in the health sector;
- Development and strengthening of Information Systems for human resources in the health sectors in the PALOP-TL countries, including mechanisms to liaise with observatories in the PALOP and throughout the African Region in this sector;
- Improve the quantity and quality of the training and education institutions in this sector, with emphasis on teacher training for managers and mid-level professionals (nursing, midwives, health officers, healthcare workers, etc.);
- Facilitate access to health information and knowledge, in Portuguese, in the relevant institutions of the PALOP-TL countries.
National Human Resources Boards of the Ministries of Health, National Teams of trainers and supervisors in the planning and management of human resources in the health sector, national health associations and boards and other healthcare workers.
Indirect beneficiaries: Users of the public health services in the PALOP-TL countries
