Objectives

Help the democratic processes in the PALOP countries and East Timor through specifically channelled support to electoral processes, elected members of parliaments and the media.

Results

• Reinforcement of electoral administration procedures and practices, contributing to the establishment and consolidation of a platform for specialised electoral knowledge, comparative experiences and document sources;
• Electoral management tools and methodologies adapted to the needs and particularities of the PALOP-TL countries and their translation into Portuguese;
• Consolidation of the management structures of the electoral processes of the countries and use of the Portuguese language within and in association with the Electoral Knowledge Network (ACE);
• Increased participation of women and youth in the electoral process as voters, candidates and electoral agents;
• Increase the active role of Parliaments and Media in civic electoral education.
