Objectives

Capacity building on protection, enhancement and promotion of cultural heritage in the PALOP countries and East Timor and support initiatives by cultural actors or institutional entities to preserve heritage and carry out artistic and cultural activities throughout the PALOP-TL countries.

Results

• Improved professional skills of individuals involved in safeguarding, enhancing and encouraging the historical and cultural heritage of the PALOP countries (and later of East Timor);
• Support to multiple cultural and artistic initiatives organised by cultural actors through the award of grants.
  Training and professional internships for human resources working in the Libraries, Historical Archives and Museums sectors through the creation of partnerships among the cultural entities of the PALOP countries, stimulating the Cultural Centres and encouraging exchanges among those responsible for the Culture Services;
• Deepening intercultural dialogue, cosmopolitanism and openness to other cultures.

Target Audience

Cultural entities, namely Libraries, Historical Archives and Museums.
