Objectives
Enhance the capacity of the five PALOP countries to manage public health issues and address problems in the functioning and management of local health districts through increased and improved training, research and assistance by the Regional Centre for Health Development.
Results
- Creation of public health training modules for teacher training in the areas of Epidemiology, Management, Health Education and Pedagogy, and training of health managers and officers in the five countries
- Strengthening of the Regional Centre for Health Development (CRDS), located in Maputo, Mozambique, as an institution to coordinate public health policies in the five countries.
