“Lawyers, investors, academics and citizens in general can have access, on a common platform, to all relevant legislation, jurisprudence and doctrine of the five Portuguese-speaking African Countries: Angola, Cape Verde, Guinea Bissau, Mozambique, São Tomé and Prince.
The Legis-PALOP platform, the official legal database of the PALOP (www.legis-palop.org) facilitates the knowledge of more than 40 thousand normative acts, with a PDF of the Official Journal, editable text of the diploma , references and consolidated versions. More than five thousand judgments of the higher courts and different doctrine and relevant documents are available, including opinions from the PGR, Bar Association, books and articles. The Thesaurus, common to more than four thousand descriptors, facilitates the consultation and allows the analysis of comparative law. ”
Launched in 2009, the Database has just expanded to the Asian continent, through the inclusion of the legal system of Timor-Leste, formalized in June 2018, and was renamed Legis-PALOP + TL.
With over 15,000 users worldwide, the access to summaries of the legislation is free.
