“All the difficulties and challenges that our country faces in the justice sector can only be solved with highly trained and qualified human resources to be able to prevent and combat economic and financial crimes and corruption. and these are all trained in this institution”, argues Elisa Samuel Boerekamp, Director of the Legal and Judiciary Training Center (CFJJ) in Matola, Mozambique.
As part of the celebrations for the 30 years of Cooperation between the PALOP-TL and the European Union, animated videos and comic strips were produced that illustrate the success stories of the projects implemented within the scope of the Cooperation of Portuguese-speaking African Countries and Timor-Leste with the European Union (PALOP-TL/UE). The success stories were presented at the ceremony that took place in Brussels, capital of the Kingdom of Belgium, during the Extraordinary Ministerial Meeting of Cooperation between the PALOP-TL and the European Union.
This is the first of three comic strips and tells the story of Dr. Elisa Samuel Boerekamp who participated in the Project to Support the Consolidation of the Rule of Law (PACED) and how this project positively transformed her professional life, as well as that of other colleagues in Mozambique, through various training activities and institutional capacity building.
